Re: editing 3GB article...

Hi yes I corrected typo's and spelling. Sorry, still new at this. :) 115.188.27.154 (talk) 18:33, 16 July 2016 (UTC)

Deletion

I didn't delete anything, (not deliberately). I made some typo corrections. Is it possible for anyone to vandalise my edits? It's happened twice now. 115.188.27.154 (talk) 18:54, 16 July 2016 (UTC)

Sockpuppet and multiple accounts, vandalism.

I would like tio report Jeh. oth times afdfter he has liogged in my comments have been deleted por edited, also i just found this on Mark Russunovices poage.

https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/markrussinovich/2008/07/21/pushing-the-limits-of-windows-physical-memory/

Jeh originally linked to the above blog which did not support his argument, now someone has posted on Russonoviches blog impersonating Russunovich with comments to support Jeh's posts.

This is the 3rd sockpuppet who has been posting on Jeh's article. Quite the coincidence. The sockpuppet he just reported I'm sure was Jeh himself.115.188.27.154 (talk) 15:00, 18 July 2016 (UTC)

Unreferenced trivia

Please stop adding unreferenced trivia. Such as [[1]] — Preceding unsigned comment added by 45.116.182.59 (talk) 02:31, 6 August 2016 (UTC)

You are the one adding trivia, the bulk of which is unreferenced. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 45.116.182.59 (talk) 02:35, 6 August 2016 (UTC)

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.  Acroterion (talk) 03:11, 6 August 2016 (UTC)

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

TJH2018 (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

Ok, I got it. I have made positive contributions all across the board here. I may have gotten ahead of myself here, and this won't happen again. I'll be patient and wait for the input of an admin next time I come to an issue like this. I'll also stick to what I'm good at, which is maintenance and IP temps. TJH2018talk 03:14, 6 August 2016 (UTC)

Decline reason:

It would be totally inappropriate to unblock you at this time. I'm sincerely hoping that the block gives you a chance to cool off and return with productive edits and I do expect that to be the case. Yamla (talk) 12:26, 6 August 2016 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

You have no business assuming that an Indian IP a)doesn't know the rules and b) isn't contributing productively. I was inclined to block you for 48 hours because of those comments. You're fortunate I didn't. Acroterion (talk) 03:16, 6 August 2016 (UTC)
Having seen this [3] I've increased the duration to 48 hours. Please walk away from the computer next time. Acroterion (talk) 03:19, 6 August 2016 (UTC)
Let's go over what I did wrong here. I edit warred over something stupid. I just want to get back to AV and my temps and stuff. Again, the moment I get back from a wikibreak, I'm immediately put into a situation where an administrator wasn't readily available which only ended up over-complicating things. I get that the IP comments were wrong, I just haven't had a good experience with them in the past. You've got to be kidding me now. Goodness gracious. TJH2018talk 03:20, 6 August 2016 (UTC)
And, at this point, nothing's gonna change, so I'm gonna end this here. TJH2018talk 03:22, 6 August 2016 (UTC)
I'm not kidding. You're maligning IPs and Indians. The edits weren't vandalism, and your explanations are digging a deeper hole. They're blocked too, but you're clearly judging edits on the source rather than the substance. That must stop. Acroterion (talk) 03:25, 6 August 2016 (UTC)
"Goodness gracious" is not, in California, a dig at Indians. Please stop projecting one's own culture onto others' expressions
The following discussion has been closed. Please do not modify it.
TJH2018 - your sign off of 'Goodness gracious' is clearly another dig at Indians, by referring to for example Goodness Gracious Me (BBC). These tactics are tantamount to racism. Please stop, and consider your attitude before your ban is further extended.
WHAT? I could have said something like "Jesus Christ," but I'm Catholic, so I'd rather not! I didn't even know that was a TV show! And I have been judging IP's by the country they come from. And that will change. I had no intention of naming that TV show, and it was pure coincidence. I'm gonna end here before I get misenterprited again. TJH2018talk 03:56, 6 August 2016 (UTC)

Geoffrey: I don't know how you found your way here, but in the nicest tone possible, this doesn't really involve you. Thanks. TJH2018talk 03:45, 6 August 2016 (UTC) TJH2018talk 03:45, 6 August 2016 (UTC)

Also, I find it quite odd that you stop editing for almost a year, then chime in on something that doesn't even concern you at all. That's just me. Let's leave this matter to rest, and if User:Acroterion could change my status to "offline" that would be great. Goodnight all. TJH2018talk 03:51, 6 August 2016 (UTC)
One more thing: Geoffrey, please remember the four tildes after a comment. TJH2018talk 03:56, 6 August 2016 (UTC)
TJH2018 - firstly let me repeat: "Please stop, and consider your attitude". I took ofference at your racist comments and behavior, and this does involve and concern me along with all Wikipedia users, for example "some types of comments are never acceptable: Racial, sexist, homophobic, ageist, religious, political, ethnic, national, sexual, or other epithets (such as against people with disabilities) directed against another contributor, or against a group of contributors." And though I need not defend myself I logged on sometime since my last message, but many frequent subsequent visits to read Wikipedia, to comment because of my disgust that you were using bigotry of race and country in your messages. And yes I forgot to fully sign off, which I will do now. Finally, one more thing TJH2018, please remember to treat all people both on Wikipedia and in the real world with respect and tolerance irrespective of their race, nationality or frequency of posting on Wikipedia.GeoffreySuchart (talk) 04:59, 6 August 2016 (UTC)
Geoffrey: To call someone a bigot is a big step in the wrong direction. How dare you call me a bigot. I have had no interactions with you and yet you just pop up and shout "racist!" You don't have any input in this because it is a discussion between me and the Admin. See yourself out of it. I was merely stating something that had nothing to do with you. I'm sorry if I pffended you, and I don't know what else you expect me to do besides financial reparations. And don't expect any of that. And if you, a random person behind a screen somewhere in the world, call someone a bigot just because a stereotype was mentioned, then I think you need to come to a high school in LA and you'll see what real racism is. How would you like being singled out because the colour of your skin? Does that happen to you on a daily basis? Do people call you "cracker" or "snowman" on a daily basis? I think not. Again, I cannot believe that an uninvolved party would just barge in here and call me a bigot. Next time just walk away. See, we've both learned something here today. I've tried to be nice, but I'll be frank here. Please leave this conversation, as it does not concern you. My mistakes are my mistakes, and I'll handle them in the fashion they are meant to be handled, without any input from the peanut gallery. Thank you. TJH2018talk 05:15, 6 August 2016 (UTC)
TJH2018 -
  • ’To call someone a bigot is a big step in the wrong direction. How dare you call me a bigot.’ You are wrong. I did not call you a bigot, I noted a number of your comments were bigoted about race and country. Others noted the same.
  • ’You don't have any input in this because it is a discussion between me and the Admin.’ As both a human being and a Wikipedian, I challenged your bigoted comments.
  • ‘expect me to do besides financial reparations. And don't expect any of that.’ You now have moved from expressing bigotry to an accusation of corruption. Nice.
  • ‘call someone a bigot just because a stereotype’ The use of racial stereotypes is bigotry. Also, you made a number of bigoted comments which did not use stereotypes.
  • ’ How would you like being singled out because the colour of your skin?’ Your question is irrelevant to the discussion, but yes I have experienced racism.
  • ’Do people call you "cracker" or "snowman" on a daily basis? I think not.’ No because I am neither white nor American. (I understand these epithets are used exclusively in the USA). And why do you assume I am white? Non-white people do you use Wikipedia (and, no I am not Indian)
  • ’Again, I cannot believe that an uninvolved party would just barge in here and call me a bigot.’ I did not call you a bigot. I noted that it is unacceptable to use bigotry.
  • ’I've tried to be nice’ You have not. You have been aggressive, rude and intolerant to a number of people.
And,
  • A review of your edit history and your talk pages shows a history of edit wars and abusive comments. So, let me repeat for a second occasion: "Please stop, and consider your attitude".
  • A number of experienced Wikipedians today expressed concern about your behaviour & comments. It would be advisable to take this as counsel.
  • You have received a temporary block because of your behavior and comments. Take it as an opportunity to consider your attitude others, how you communicate on Wikipedia, and the reasons why you edit Wikipedia.
GeoffreySuchart (talk) 13:49, 6 August 2016 (UTC)
@both of you: this discussion is making things worse, not better. It's also an illustration of the danger in cross-cultural communication in an impersonal text-based medium. To assert that high school students in North America are remotely likely to have heard about Goodness Gracious Me (BBC) and would deploy it as an insult is not credible. Assumption of good faith helps to smooth such difficulties. Please stop the ping-pong match, which appears to have stemmed from a cultural misunderstanding about "goodness gracious/goodness gracious me," an expression used by my grandmother on an hourly basis without any aspersions against anyone. Except maybe my great-aunt Arbutus. Acroterion (talk) 14:46, 6 August 2016 (UTC)
Acroterion - that Goodness Gracious Me (BBC) is a TV show is not the point. The phrase 'goodness gracious' is a cliched phrase used by some when making bad and offensive impressions of Indians: it was used by the Asian-British cast of the TV show to re-claim it from those using it to mock Indians. Its use by TJH2018 is consistent with his/her various prejudiced comments.GeoffreySuchart (talk) 15:22, 6 August 2016 (UTC)
@GeoffreySuchart: Can we just drop this? How would a sixteen year old who lives in SoCal know that goodness gracious is an offensive term against Indians? I was merely expressing my disbelief at a fair and just block. I know you want to see me get blocked for longer, so can you please drop this so I can live out my block in peace? Please? TJH2018talk 15:27, 6 August 2016 (UTC)
TJH2018 - this discussion is not about the phrase 'goodness gracious'. It is about a series of bigoted comments about Indians, as well as other abusive comments, by you. I hope once your block has expired you will contribute constructively to Wikipedia, and not revert to posting personal attacks and bigoted comments.GeoffreySuchart (talk) 15:36, 6 August 2016 (UTC)
This discussion doesn't involve you. Stop beating the dead horse fam. End it. You don't have to have the last word. Listen to Acrterion, and stop while you're ahead. TJH2018talk 15:38, 6 August 2016 (UTC)
TJH2018 - I am more than happy not to have the last word. But I will challenge bigotry, and I will respond to falsehoods including that bigotry doesn't involve me, and your recent claim that you 'know' I wish you to have a longer block.GeoffreySuchart (talk) 15:42, 6 August 2016 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) Hi, just a heads up that you're probably likely to get a quicker response by using the autoblock template as it's your IP, not you, who's blocked - see the first bullet point in the template you're using for more details. Want to help test advanced new tools planned for Recent Changes?

Hi TJH2018! I’m reaching out to you because our logs tell us you’re a very active Twinkle user (top 25, actually!). The WMF Collaboration team is working on new tools that we hope will be useful to people engaged in reviewing recent changes, fighting vandalism or supporting new users. We want to test them for usability with editors who are experienced with relevant wiki work. If you’re interested in helping to shape this new technology—we’d like to hear from you.

The testing should take about an hour, will be conducted online, and will take place during the next few weeks. To participate, please email dchen[at]wikimedia.org with the subject line Twinkle User. Include the following information:

  • Username
  • Email where we can reach you
  • Your city or time zone
  • Best time to talk to you
  • Your primary use of Twinkle or Recent Changes (e.g., reviewing recent changes, reviewing with a particular focus (specify), anti-vandalism, new-page review, welcoming new users, etc.)

Thanks! Dchen (WMF) (talk) 17:58, 19 September 2016 (UTC)
