Turkish Job's Well story[edit]

There is a story that seems to report that in 1145 CE, the Image of Edessa was in hiding at Cosmas Monastery in Edessa. In that year, it was stolen and thrown into a well, before being recovered and returned to the monastery.[1] The report of being thrown into a well has similarities to Palmer's account.
