Working with the community

Wikipedia is more than a word processor where you type and post information. It's a community, working together to build an encyclopedia. You're a part of that! Get to know the community of editors you'll be working with. Monitor your edits regularly and closely, and participate in talk page discussions. Post your plans, ask questions, offer and request suggestions and ideas.

Be very careful about plagiarism, and remember: It may not mean what you think it means. Remove plagiarism when you see it, especially from other students in your class, and let them know on their talk page. Edits can always be reverted if you make a mistake, so it's best to flag and remove problems early rather than leave it.
