July 2013[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one of your recent edits to Bhaag Milkha Bhaag has been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

Hello Tarandhoni, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your addition to Milkha Singh has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and a cited source. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied without attribution. If you want to copy from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Sitush (talk) 17:49, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Partha Pratim Chakraborty requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. JetBlast (talk) 10:46, 27 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Partha Pratim Chakraborty requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://prnewswire.netpr.pl/en/pr/237437/iit-kharagpur-alumni-support-prof-p-p-chakrabarti-s-candidature-for-director-iit-kharagpur. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Removing Speedy at Partha Pratim Chakraborty[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for taking the time to create a page here. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you created yourself. Because Wikipedia policy does not allow the creator of the page to remove deletion tags, an automated program has replaced the deletion tag you removed from Partha Pratim Chakraborty. Please do not continue to remove the deletion tag, instead, if you disagree with the deletion, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the page by clicking this link. Once there, select the button that says Click here to contest this speedy deletion.
  2. This will take you to the talk page, where you can make your case by explaining why the page does not meet Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do. For further help about the deletion, you could contact the user who first placed the tag or a highly active user who is willing to help with deletion. This message was left by a bot, so please do not contact the bot about the deletion. Thank you, - SDPatrolBot (talk) 15:48, 27 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon This is your last warning. The next time you remove a speedy deletion notice from a page you have created yourself, as you did at Partha Pratim Chakraborty, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 15:51, 27 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Reported to AIV[edit]

Hi Tarandhoni, this is a notice to let you know that I have reported your removal of speedy deletion templates at Partha Pratim Chakraborty to administrators. An administrator should assess the report in a short while, and they will take any appropriate actions. Please wait for an administrator before taking any further actions yourself. Thank you, - SDPatrolBot (talk) 15:52, 27 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your use of multiple Wikipedia accounts[edit]

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Satyashiva, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Box Office India (Re. Chennai Express)[edit]

Hi,

Thanks for your message.

Wikipedia relies on Box Office India solely for Indian box office info as it's the largest company of it's kind in India, and 2nd largest in the world in terms of viewership.

Plus, it would be impossible to replace ALL previous box office info with figures quoted in the media as, for a lot of the smaller releases, the media doesn't report box office numbers, so the box office info from the media would be unattainable.

We have to keep the website consistent, and the best way to do that is to rely on a site that gives ALL box office info, not JUST some info like the websites you quoted.

I appreciate your frustration, but this is the way it must be for consistency and reliability.

Cheers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.240.65.248 (talk) 13:09, 10 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Okay, you don't think Box Office India as reliable, but that doesn't mean that you will boss around and decide what source should be used or not, because you don't own Wikipedia. And didn't I tell you not to post a message on my talk page again? I am giving a warning - never touch Chennai Express again or you are going to the AIV.----Plea$ant 1623 17:36, 10 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

For the second and final time: DO NOT BOSS AROUND OR YOU ARE GOING TO THE ADMINS FOR SURE.----Plea$ant 1623 09:11, 11 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, enough is enough. Your behaviour is really getting more troubling. For the final time: stop bossing around.----Plea$ant 1623 10:44, 15 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
