Advice[edit]
I see that Passion for Skiing is in only 5 library collections. This suggests that it is not likely to be notable, and I suggest you reconsider if you want an article on it. "Dartmouth's Dedicated alumni" is in only 2 libraries -- besides Dartmouth, and I'd similarly suggest you reconsider. The articles are furthermore extremely promotional, using the language one would use in an advertisement about the book. AfCs and userified articles can be deleted by speedy deletion for being entirely promotional and incapable of rewriting. I will soon list these for deletion accordingly. If you decide that the article cannot presently meet our standards, you can facilitate matters by placing at the top a line reading : {{db-author}}, and it will be quickly deleted. When you have the necessary material, then try again. I do not want to discourage you, but to urge you to continue to contribute.
The article on the related film, Passion for Snow, is also extremely promotional, as was very correctly noticed by the reviewer. There's of course a chance that it might prove more notable than the book, and an article could then be written, but it would have to be redone from scratch. So my advice is similar. I have added recent Award information on the film, Passion for Snow. The film had been nominated for an Emmy by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences - NE which in itself is a great result, and the key film team members will be recognized at the NATAS-NE Emmy Awards Dinner in Boston on June 7. The film will also receive a 1st Place for Excellence Award for Television/Video at the Outdoor Writers Association of America at their annual meeting on May 23-25. I also added the International Ski History Association Ullr Award - 2011 received by the book, Passion for Skiing, at ISHA's annual meeting with the National Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame in Sun Valley.
