Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you translated text from one or more pages to another page. While you are welcome to translate Wikipedia content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the contributor(s) of the original article. When translating from a foreign-language Wikipedia article, this is supplied at a minimum in an edit summary on the page where you add translated content, identifying it as a translation and linking it to the source page. For example: Content in this edit is translated from the existing French Wikipedia article at [[:fr:Exact name of French article]]; see its history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if translation is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{translated page}} template on the talk pages of the destination article. If you have added translated content previously which was not attributed at the time it was added, please add attribution retrospectively for that also, even if it was a long time ago. You can read more about author attribution and the reasons for it at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. S0091 (talk) 20:53, 9 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The Achievers of South Orange lists I-Chao Chu in para 5 as well as the family's history in Shandong China in the Final Paragraph. Prior, an photo of a formal artists bio documented by visual source on Geni was not accepted despite the fact that the visual source is not able to be cited. So the information is as completely sourced as it can be but the sources are not being accepted by Wikipedia. SanFran22 (talk) 22:43, 9 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If there are no better sources, then an article is not possible. "Her home contains several watercolors by Mr. Chu's father, I‐Chao Chu, a Chinese artist who is continuing his career in this country. Both of Mr. Chu's parents live with the younger couple and their three daughters." say nothing at all about I-Choa Chu. The family's history matters not as notability is not inherited. Please also see the note above a couple sections above about attributing translations and also be aware an article existing in one Wikipedia language does not mean it is acceptable in another. Each are their own projects with own rule and guidelines. S0091 (talk) 22:57, 9 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
