I have calculated these statistics using a spreadsheet and data from Our World In Data (taken from the GitHub page). unnec new line

Hello there, I have noticed your recent edits on Curfews and lockdowns related to the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic and also on Template:2020 coronavirus pandemic lockdowns. Please refrain from removing any spaces which you deem unnec new line on any pages or templates in the future. These spaces are put in place for proper formatting by experienced editors, such as me. Your removal of such a space on the curfews pages was what led to the issue of white space between the table and text on the page, which you attempted to fix but that only led to more experimentation of additions and removals of tags on the main template. It yielded no results and the page could have been left in that state had I not visited it today.

I have had to go through every single edit of yours on the template page, this is very time-consuming and pulls us from other pages which need our attention. Please use the Wikipedia:Sandbox for any experimenting and/or learning before you attempt to edit pages which are new to you. Thanks. --Shawnqual (talk) 03:56, 02 May 2020 (UTC)

@Shawnqual: I edited the Template:2020 coronavirus pandemic lockdowns page precisely because of the white space between the table and text on the page, I really do not know what you are talking about. Please notice that my very first edit to either of the pages you have listed, performed at 01:49 on the 1st of May, stated that "There's some formatting issue that results in there being a big space between the text and the table". How could I have had prior knowledge of how my edit would create the problem when I had not even performed the edit? The edit in which the edit summary was "unnec new line" was performed at 01:51, after I had noticed and was in the process of correcting the formatting issue.

I was under the impression, after I was done with my series of edits, that they had in fact fixed the problem of the whitespace between the table and the text, as that is what appeared on my screen. In fact, I had apparently not only fixed the whitespace, but the unnecessary newlines -- which, regardless of what "experienced editors" think, does not look pretty between the 'See also' tag and the main body of text. Wikipedia is not for editing by just "experienced editors", but by everyone. And I would not have left the page as-is if the problem I had attempted to fix had not appeared fixed. If my efforts had not yielded any result, I would have reverted all of them back to the previous revision.

By the way, correct me if I am wrong, but are you attempting to make fun of my abbreviation of 'unnecessary'?

Also, edits like these, concering both a template and a page, are a bit hard to draft a correction for using Wikipedia:Sandbox.

On my screen you have actually, with your recent edits, added back the problem that I corrected. Are you on a laptop computer with a low resolution? That may be why this problem still persists, and that when fixed for one of us appears to be broken for another. I don't know about their other edits, but the edits to Sir Creek don't look like vandalism; I just noticed that they were editing other articles tagged for copyediting, which (come to think of it) is not a bad thing . Stay well and all the best, Miniapolis 23:12, 14 May 2020 (UTC)

I had not originally believed their edits at Sir Creek to be vandalism, but their other, similar contributions led me to believe this was deliberate. Take a look at Bargyman's and Hamish Gary's contribution list, every single one of their edits contains some variation of "Grammar review" or "Minor grammatical changes", but almost all of them are also tagged with 'References removed'. They have also not responded to any warnings on their talk pages, and in the case of User:Bargyman, continued to make these citation-removing edits. All this leads me to believe that these editors are deliberately attempting to vandalise the site. sam1370 (talk / contribs) 23:35, 14 May 2020 (UTC)

Page move

Hey, you reverted my page move of 1952 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election to 1951 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election. If you look at references in the article, it provides the year 1951 despite whats written in the article itself. For example take a look at the ECI Website. @David Gerard: Thank you for providing an explanation, instead of simply reverting again without providing a counterargument. However, what is wrong with using a primary source on this point? I think it is clear that Coinbase is a reliable source for crypto market prices, so why should it not be included? Thunder Rising and The Sun Trail — Warriors

Hello! I'm from Russia, and I have a question for You. In the Russian Wikipedia, I create and promote articles about Warrior Cats. In the Russian Wikipedia, when creating articles about books Thunder Rising and The Sun Trail, you must necessarily need reviews from critics, publications (for example, Publisher's Weekly, Booklist, ALA, Kirkus, School Library Journal, Barnes & Noble), not reviews in stores Goodreads or DogoBooks. Articles about these books can be deleted in the Russian Wikipedia, as I did not find any reviews on them. Have You maybe found or seen reviews of these books? Thank you very much for your attention! Incorrect edit in the Cellosaurus page

You edited out the fact that I develop the Cellosaurus by indicating "Removed misinformation -- Amos Bairoch & Lydie Lane are active in the development of Cellosaurus, but are not its main contributors.)". But I am the sole developer of the Cellosaurus and since 2012 when I started to work on this resource I have been the sole creator and curator of all the entries in this resource. GPT-4 Semianalysis edit

Hello, I just reverted your recent edit on GPT-4. I am struggling to understand this edit, not just because it admittedly consisted of unverified information, but because of the way it was cited. Of the relevant sources added, all of them are primary sources and tweets, including one tweet that does not speak to the claims and one that was deleted. This struck me as an attempt to perform WP:Original research. I don't want to make noise in the main talk page about this, but I wanted to explain further why I oppose this edit. Thanks.
