Welcome

Hello, Pyrospirit/Archive 1, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!

By the way, i've seen your posts at Talk:RuneScape armour and Talk:RuneScape weaponry. Those two articles are almost ready for a big rewrite and merge, hence the tags. The discussion about it is here, if you wish to participate. CaptainVindaloo t c e 17:22, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

Thanks, I'm glad to be here. Pyrospirit 2:22, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

RuneScape stuff (main page)

If there's commments about my edits on the RuneScape main page, just post them here. Pyrospirit 2:20, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

Yay! I can now edit semi-protected pages, including the RuneScape main page. Prepare to feel my somewhat helpful editing/contribution wrath! Pyrospirit 2:24, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

RuneScape stuff (other pages)

Here's where you put any comments about any page other than the main page in the RuneScape series.

If no one objects, I will replace the special attacks section in RuneScape Weapons with a brief summary of special attacks. Unless anyone objects before then, I will delete it around 17:00, 11 November 2006 (UTC). Pyrospirit 21:37, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

Just rewrote the whole special attacks section in RuneScape weaponry. I deleted the large table of data on every special attack in the game and replaced the initial summary paragraph with a better overall description of special attacks. Hope everyone likes the changes! Pyrospirit 17:52, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

RuneScape locations (work on rewrite)

The RuneScape locations page needs a lot of work, and I'm planning a rewrite. If you want to help, feel free to edit anything in that needs work in my proposed rewrite page.

whats wrong with my signature?

Recently you've been trying to correct the way my signature looks like on my talk page. What is wrong with it?

--• Storkian • 05:37, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

Huh. It's fine now, but in Talk:RuneScape the link was broken in several different spots. I'm not sure why, but anyway it seems fine now. Sorry about that. --Pyrospirit Talk Contribs 12:55, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

RuneScape locations rewrite

I've added some information on the Desert and Asgarnia to your rewrite, as well as links to both versions of the world map. They are a bit stubby at the moment, but should be a good start. I don't know enough about Morytania to really do anything for that. Hope you don't mind! CaptainVindaloo t c e 16:26, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

Fellow Vandalism Fighter...

(This conversation will be held here, on this page)

Heh... You always revert the vandalism on recent changes just as I get there. I have to move faster! :P Pyrospirit Talk Contribs 03:51, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

It's fun, isn't it? No MMORPG can be as fun as this :D --- 0612 (talk) 03:53, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
I agree. Except for RuneScape. Pyrospirit Talk Contribs 03:54, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
Oooh.. An RS fan, hunh? I used to play, but then I'm not really into gaming... So I got bored of it pretty quick... It's all RS2 now, right? --- 0612 (talk) 03:57, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
It was called RS2, but Jagex changed the name to RuneScape. The original version is called RuneScape Classic now. And yeah, I've played for over a year and a half. Pyrospirit Talk Contribs 03:59, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
lolz... I've only played for a few days... Well, see ya around, and happy fighting vandalism! --- 0612 (talk) 04:01, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

Suspicious Sockpuppet

Per this edit, I have reason to believe that you own Kalai Eljahn's account. This is because that user claims to have received contact from you. The user's contributions and talk page, however, have no proof of this. Could you please explain this?--Ed ¿Cómo estás? 16:49, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

We know each other in real life. Kalai Eljahn is not my sockpuppet, and I think she was referring to something I had said about Wikiproject RuneScape a while ago. Pyrospirit Talk Contribs 16:54, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
Although, I can see why you might think that. Actually, when I first saw her edit, I kind of expected this might happen. Pyrospirit Talk Contribs 16:56, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
I might have to file a WP:RFCU. You see, the fact that Kalai Eljahn voted on the same discussion could give admins the impression that you're manipulating an MfD.--Ed ¿Cómo estás? 17:15, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
What exactly is a checkuser, anyway? I'm a bit confused on this point. Pyrospirit Talk Contribs 17:25, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
The Request for Checkuser is a request given to someone with Checkuser status to compare the IP addresses of multiple users. It is a way to discover sockpuppets who use the same IP address. See Wikipedia:Checkuser for more information.--Ed ¿Cómo estás? 17:30, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
Okay, thanks. Pyrospirit Talk Contribs 17:40, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
I looked at WP:RFCU, and I found that since the vote would have turned out the same with or without Kalai Eljahn's vote, if you still suspect that I own Kalai Eljahn's account, I think it would go under WP:ANI, not WP:RFCU. Pyrospirit Talk Contribs 19:42, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
Sorry about that...I'll have to be more careful on Runescape related things, I guess. Kalai Eljahn 17:46, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
No problem. Looks like once I explained it to Ed, he didn't take it any further. And actually, I don't see any problem with you editing on RuneScape-related things, as long as you don't act too much like me. :) Pyrospirit Talk Contribs 17:54, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/Case/Pyrospirit--It's not that Kalai Eljahn edited a RuneScape related page, but the fact that both of you voted on the same MfD.--Ed ¿Cómo estás? 18:14, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

Like I said before, there's no record of me talking about this with Kalai Eljahn before because we talked about it in real life, not on Wikipedia. However, as you can see, we've edited almost always at different times and on different topics. Also, a checkuser will show that we've edited from different IPs. Another point: If I had attempted to manipulate the votes through use of sockpuppets, I wouldn't have mentioned Pyrospirit at all in my other account's vote. Pyrospirit Talk Contribs 18:52, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
If you are correct, please accept my sincerest apologies. However, I need to have you both checked on WP:RFCU because other people would have the same suspicions as I did.--Ed ¿Cómo estás? 19:07, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for the update, please take at look at Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/Case/Pyrospirit for the ongoing information request. So long as the RFCU doesn't show that vote tampering was at play, I've suggested to Ed that they wait at least a month before revisting deletion discussions for that page. — xaosflux Talk 19:51, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
I truly apologize for the inconvenience I caused you due to the RFCU. The result was Unlikely.--Ed ¿Cómo estás?Reviews? 01:57, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
Not a problem; I'm just glad it's all cleared up now. Pyrospirit Talk Contribs 14:19, 28 December 2006 (UTC)

RS Locations page

Thank you for your invitation awhile back now, sorry for not responding much sooner. At the time your offer was posted I'd had an absolute gutfull of WP and the RS articles in particular and decided to take a break.

Your own writing on the subject of locations is much better than I could achieve, so I doubt my help would have proved useful anyway. Thank you for turning out a much better article, I'm hoping to see it replace the old version soon. QuagmireDog 19:25, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

Thank you! Still, if you see any mistakes, go ahead and change them. I can fix up any style/wording-related issues in it. Pyrospirit Talk Contribs 19:53, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

I deleted the page as you requested. But next time note that since you started with the old version, the history of that needs to be preserved. Wikipedia:How to fix cut and paste moves gives some suggestions how to go about it. --Henrygb 01:49, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

I really had no clue how to do that, which is kind of why I ended up messing it up. >.< Thanks. Pyrospirit Talk Contribs 01:52, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

VandalProof

Please place all comments relating to my actions with VandalProof in this section. Thanks, Pyrospirit Talk Contribs 21:02, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

I didn't vandalize I put up a roster page so I edited.--Cowboy From Hell 00:36, 9 February 2007 (UTC)DJ BatWave

My change to the Mino page was legitimate. I am the current JET(Japanese Exchange Teacher) for Mino's Junior High School, and the only native English speaker living in Mino. The Tsushima shrine, for which I added the information about it myself a while ago, is actually open everyday but the train adds a stop there 2 days a year, August 4th and August 5th. The other information, dealing with the name of Mitoyo being derived from Mino and Toyota is true, but I can understand if you believe this to be irrelevent. It is already listed on one of hte pages about Mitoyo, I think. Omega037 10:49, 9 Febuary 2007

My revert was a mistake. I removed the vandalism warning. Sorry about that. Pyrospirit Talk Contribs 15:55, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

Hey, PyroSpirit? I think my edit to the Existentialism Page was justified. There's a lot of content there that is either unnecessary or too specific, and the page is totally improved by streamlining it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 207.101.240.226 (talkcontribs) 20:13, 9 February 2007.

Ok, feel free to remove the information again if it was in good faith. However, since you didn't provide an edit summary, I didn't realize this and thought it was just random removal of information. I recommend always giving an edit summary when you're removing large amounts of info. Pyrospirit Talk Contribs 20:59, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

I removed a topic called Mental Release because this is a fake title for a future album that has yet to be announced. The user that posted it, SlimShady6135 is often posting made up album titles and tracklists on many artist's discography, and they always turn out to be fake, so I would appreciate if they was contacted about doing so. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Robbhp (talkcontribs) 22:12, 18 February 2007.

Wknight94 impostors

Greetings! He's a troll coming back for more trouble-making. Have a look at:

There's probably others, but I remember those from yesterday. This is what happens when you RC patrol a lot ... Cheers, Antandrus (talk) 16:21, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

I know ... it's strange he'd keep doing that. Probably thought no one was watching. It's scary when you're actually remembering this stuff from day to day ... Antandrus (talk) 16:32, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

Re: How do you keep doing this?!

Seriously, you revert all the vandalism on RC just a few seconds before I do. Almost every time! Nice to know we have someone this good on RC patrol. :) Pyrospirit Talk Contribs 04:13, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

Thanks. I'm using a bit of software I wrote myself similar to the "VandalProof" you're using, which obviously is a lot faster than doing things manually. Other than that, I guess I'm just good at identifying which edits are vandalism quickly (the software helps with this too, actually) – Qxz 04:18, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
I see. That program must work really well to revert that fast. Pyrospirit Talk Contribs 04:20, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

Thanks!

Thanks for informing me about the warnings! I didn't know I wasn't supposed to get rid of them. I just wanted to clear up some space. Hey, I was just wondering why your name is yellow in your signature. Thanks, again! Steinize that! 22:22, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

Sorry about that! I just figured it out by myself. You like?... Steinize that! Talk Contribs 22:34, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

Wirt Davis, II

I am the author of this article, which you tagged for Speedy Deletion. Mr. Davis was a well-known businessman in Dallas, Texas having been involved in banking and oil & gas for over sixty years. Indeed, his notoriety is documented in the fact that there is a building in dowtown Dallas named after him. --The Outhouse Mouse 16:35, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

A. B.'s request for adminship

Hello, You have helped me along the way. I need your help one more time. I had someone comment about some remarks I left on the [[1]] so I did as he said and made my comments on the talk page. Someone keeps erasing all comments and deleting the history of this page. Is there a way we can get them back? This is why I have a problem with user A._B. This user trys to trick others and is real sneaky. It must be him romving all the content. He is the one up for adminship.
