Welcome and some explantion about the deletion process[edit]

Welcome new editor User:Mmntm7777 and thank you for the hard work you put into the new articles on Korean names that you have recently added. A little about what is going on, if you are very new to Wikipedia. Six of the new pages have been nominated for Deletion. You can see the process that is taking place here - Wikipedia:Deletion process and Wikipedia:Deletion policy.

First of all, you have done nothing wrong....and don't panic! This happens as a regular part of Wikipedia's collective editing process. Welcome to the jungle! It's really a friendly place and fun after you get used to it. You have made a good start and from here on it will be easy sailing. Thanks again for joining us!

Here's what is happening and what you can do. Other editors are making suggestions right now on the Deletion page (you received the notification and link to join in above). In the meantime, you may work on correcting the problems they have mentioned and make additions to the pages. Other editors may jump in and also help to correct the noted problems. As the pages are freshly edited, they will be re-evaluated in the Discussion. This is not a Speedy Deletion nomination, and the Discussion will go on for a number of days. It is possible to still save them from Deletion by listening to the suggestions of seasoned editors that are trying to help out.

Please ask me on this Talk page or at my Talk page for any suggestions or help. You may also candidly talk on the Deletion discussion page and other editors will respond kindly to you to help you understand the process and perhaps save the articles from being deleted. We are in this together and you are a new welcomed member!--Bonnielou2013 (talk) 00:28, 12 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation pages, redirects, page moves, etc.[edit]

Hi again, per your new pages for Ji-eun (disambiguation) and Ye-won (disambiguation) which were corrected by a more seasoned editor Alexanderlee.....disambiguation pages and page moves, redirects, etc. require some skill. I don't do much of them myself, as they have specific requirements. It may take a while to understand the correct process, which as you have found, can be done by trial and error. Editors may or may not leave a message in the Edit Summary to explain what you did wrong. But, you are free to ask their help or for clarification at their Talk page. And, it is also possible that they have made a mistake, in which case, you can work it out through discussion. If you cannot come to an agreement, you both may want to discuss it on the Talk page of the particular article to get more input.--Bonnielou2013 (talk) 02:10, 12 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Moon Jeong-won has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. jaclar0529 (talk) 09:23, 25 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Ham So-won[edit]

Hello Mmntm7777,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Ham So-won for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Korean name articles[edit]

Thanks for your edits on Korean name articles. I hope you are starting to get used to Wikipedia policies and guidelines. Two important ones to be aware of are Wikipedia:WikiProject Anthroponymy/Standards (particularly the "entries" section) and Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Trademarks. Ask on an article talk page or at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Anthroponymy if you have any questions. Regards, 59.149.124.29 (talk) 11:43, 25 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Lee Hye-won has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Cites wiki sources, which are generally unreliable.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Moon Jeong-won, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Moon Ji-ae moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Moon Ji-ae, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. The Mirror Cracked (talk) 18:12, 26 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I moved this article to draftspace as a favor to you, since it is not ready to be published. It is inadequately sourced and does not demonstrate that Moon Ji-ae is notable. Please read, and follow, WP:BIO. Since you undid that action, I have now nominated the article for deletion. The Mirror Cracked (talk) 23:12, 26 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sources[edit]

Hello Mmntm, I wanted to point out to you that Wikipedia is not a reliable source, that goes for all other wikis and user generated content. We can not cite the Korean Wikipedia or Namu.wiki, we can only include material that has been published in reliable sources – Thjarkur (talk) 18:55, 26 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Ham So-won requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

Blocked[edit]

I have blocked you for one week for disruptive editing, mainly creating and recreating non-notable articles that are tagged and deleted as WP:CSD#A7. If you continue doing this after your block expires, you will likely be blocked indefinitely. See WP:GAB for your appeal rights.--Bbb23 (talk) 01:36, 27 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
