Invitation[edit]

Hello, I noticed you've made edits to Columbia, Missouri articles or that you are in some way connected to The City of Columbia. I thought you might want to become a member of the Columbia WikiProject. Please take a look to edit an article or add one of your own. Once an article's status has been agreed upon, feel free to stop by and lend a hand in getting it to featured article status. Hope you can participate!

I agree with you that a discerning viewer can catch connections between Heroes and the X-Men. But at Wikipedia, we are just an encyclopedia reporting on what has already been published in reliable sources, and we don't add our own analyses. Check out the original research policy for details, if you like. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 13:06, 20 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, i see that Fisher got to you first. I would add to that that, while we are aware of the similarities, we need to find specific sources, speaking about Heroes and the X-Men, that specifically state that connection to Kang and whatnot. Without it, it remains your belief, and we aren't allowed to include our own thoughts in the article. If you have questions about this, please ask. I'd like to think that you can find help just about anywhere. - Arcayne (cast a spell) 13:49, 20 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I appreciate your contributions, but some of the things you have posted on the Columbia Wikiproject lists (such as references for certain things) would be better placed on the talk page for the wikiproject. In addition you might want to look at WP:N and WP:V, some of the things you added to the list would probably just be deleted if someone tried to create them. I noticed last night (I'm in Oz) that you created a new article on The Columbia Mall. I was at first going to tag it with speedy delete for lack of content. I figured though that you were in the process of expanding it so tagged it with a few maintenance tags instead. Just revisiting the article today, I see nothing further happening there? I'm now thinking the article should be renamed to say The Columbia Mall, Missouri. If you're not planning on expanding the article, perhaps you could get someone at Wikipedia:WikiProject Columbia, Missouri to take a look at it. Sting_au Talk 22:22, 28 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

== peer review ==[edit]

I was wondering if you could take some time out of your schedule to head over to the Heroes (TV series) talkpage and give us an honest peer review. The page has gone through some major changes in the last few months, and it would be fantastic if a prominent editor/contributor like yourself, could head over and give us at the Heroes Wikiproject some sound opinion and ideas on improvements for the page. We have all worked very hard at improving the page, and we need great outside, reliable and trustworthy users to come over and help us improve. I you are interested in joining the peer review discussion with other prominent users/contributors, much like yourself, please follow the link. Thank you very much for your help and your continued effort to improve Wikipedia and its quality! The article Columbia Mall (Missouri) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I see no indication that this is any more notable than any random mall of similar size.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Columbia Art League requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
