2023 Yas Island 6 Hours moved to draftspace[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to 2023 Yas Island 6 Hours. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Hey man im josh (talk) 14:51, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The names you are using in the entry list are commercial titles that contravene WP:PROMO and WP:COMMONNAME, and must be removed. They are not 'made up' or manufactured titles as stated in your edit summary. "Triple Eight JMR" and "National Storage Racing" are both Triple Eight Race Engineering cars and both reflect sponsorship from Johor Motorsports Group and National Storage respectively, therefore we use "Triple Eight Race Engineering". You don't see Dick Johnson Racing being referred to in V8 Supercars articles as "Shell V-Power Racing Team", or any of Brad Jones Racing's numerous commercial title changes throughout the 2017-18 seasons as not only does it contravene the rules but it also looks incredibly messy, way worse than what's currently offered here. The only exceptions are if the team is an extension of a for-profit corporation - for example, WPS Racing.

Similarly, if multiple teams are working on an entry then those multiple teams must be mentioned as separate entities - something like "Team X by Y" is considered a commercial title. Examples include Phantom Global Racing operating jointly with Team75, or Manthey Racing and EMA Motorsport. M Motorsport is not Erebus Motorsport, it is a separate entity operated by Justin McMillan and it is misleading to link it as such.

Finally, it's worth pointing out that an editor was blocked for a week for continuing to revert the 2024 Bathurst 12 Hour page for breaking the above rules - I suggest you return the page to it's previous state. MSportWiki (talk) 22:46, 17 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I apologise if I came across as harsh in my delivery - your edits were clearly good faith, but from where I sat they looked like lots of little reverts. I'm so used to dealing with people in WP:MOTOR who are fixed-minded, averse to change and think WP:OWN doesn't apply to them that you fall into the trap of assuming everyone is like that - sorry. 2024 GT World Challenge Asia entry list[edit]

Hello hope you have a good day. I want to clarify that the entry list for the series are in correct position alphabetically by their last name, and also stated according to the official entry list. The chinese and Korean last name are mostly placed in front first then their first name placed in the back, and if the driver has a western name usually the western name in front followed by the last name and then first name in the back. For example like Franky Cheng Congfu, even tho in the past his name commonly used as Congfu Cheng or Franky Cheng. I know usually we follow the western setup for naming people, but for this series is in Asia the Chinese and Koreans use their name setup. Thus I reverted back your previous edits. But thank you also for edit, contribute and rearrange some that I did not notice. Thfeeder (talk) 12:02, 16 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
