Hello.[edit]
@FormalDude: Hello again. I don't want to bother you, but I never did give up on that adoption program thing. I thought that I had already replied to one of your messages, but I hadn't, and so I kept on waiting for the notification of you responding. I did eventually check and see I never responded on July 31, 2023, but you never saw it. I'm sorry if it looked like I just disappeared, but I really just screwed up. I didn't really want to edit any pages without know what I'm doing either, so I just chose to wait. Checking the page again, I see you've archived it, understandably so. If that's reversable, I do still wish to continue the adoption process. If not, I just wanna let you know what happened with me. Random Editor135 (talk) 15:57, 7 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Random Editor135: No bother at all, you can always message me here. I unfortunately am not able to continue your adoption because I have gotten quite busy recently. You may wish to find a new adopter at WP:Adopt-a-user/Adoptee's Area/Adopters.
- I will keep your adoption page archived so you can refer back to it. Although I can't continue your adoption, do please feel free to reach out to me anytime if you have Wikipedia-related questions. ––FormalDude (talk) 23:01, 8 April 2024 (UTC)
- @FormalDude Alright, sounds good. Have a good day, and I hope to perhaps see you around! Random Editor135 (talk) 19:40, 12 April 2024 (UTC)

Administrators' newsletter – May 2024[edit]
News and updates for administrators from the past month (April 2024).
- Phase I of the 2024 requests for adminship review has concluded. Several proposals have passed outright and will proceed to implementation, including creating a discussion-only period (3b) and administrator elections (13) on a trial basis. Other successful proposals, such as creating a reminder of civility norms (2), will undergo further refinement in Phase II. Proposals passed on a trial basis will be discussed in Phase II, after their trials conclude. Further details on specific proposals can be found in the full report.
- Partial action blocks are now in effect on the English Wikipedia. This means that administrators have the ability to restrict users from certain actions, including uploading files, moving pages and files, creating new pages, and sending thanks. T280531
- The arbitration case Conflict of interest management has been closed.
- This may be a good time to reach out to potential nominees to ask if they would consider an RfA.
- A New Pages Patrol backlog drive is happening in May 2024 to reduce the number of unreviewed articles in the new pages feed. Currently, there is a backlog of over 15,000 articles awaiting review. Sign up here to participate!
- Voting for the Universal Code of Conduct Coordinating Committee (U4C) election is open until 9 May 2024. Read the voting page on Meta-Wiki and cast your vote here!

Women in Green GA Editathon June 2024 - Going Back in Time[edit]
Hello FormalDude:
WikiProject Women in Green is holding a month-long Good Article Edit-a-thon event in June 2024!
Running from June 1 to 30, 2024, WikiProject Women in Green (WiG) is hosting a Good Article (GA) edit-a-thon event with the theme Going Back in Time! All experience levels welcome. Never worked on a GA project before? We'll teach you how to get started. Or maybe you're an old hand at GAs – we'd love to have you involved! Participants are invited to work on nominating and/or reviewing GA submissions related to women and women's works (e.g., books, films) during the event period. We hope to collectively cover article subjects from at least 20 centuries by month's end. GA resources and one-on-one support will be provided by experienced GA editors, and participants will have the opportunity to earn a special WiG barnstar for their efforts.
We hope to see you there!

Page review[edit]
I absolutely do not expect you to feel obligated in any way to review this page, as I understand the logs are heavily backed up and you are likely very busy. But on the off chance you have a moment to spare, the page Brad Heckman has been ready for reviewing for a bit. I will typically wait about 4 months for a page review before wondering if there’s anything I could do to bring it to someone’s attention — however another article that I authored and moved to the mainspace about 3 days ago got reviewed within 4 hours of being published haha. I am admittedly a bit confused about the process and just don’t want this article to get lost in the mix. If you could even give some feedback on how exactly to request a review, it would be much appreciated! :) thank you for all you do. 4theloveofallthings (talk) 16:27, 16 May 2024 (UTC)
