Alvin York[edit]

Thank you for reminding us about Sergeant York, but did you know that Talk:Main Page is intended only for improvements to the Main Page? If your question is why Alvin York isn't the featured article, the simplest reason is that article isn't a Wikipedia:Featured article. Only a few Wikipedia articles are featured articles, and there is a long process to get an article to be considered good enough. Sergeant York's heroics have appeared in the Main Page "On this day" section (not the Featured Article section), on October 8, 2009, 2010, 2013, and 2018 (On This Day generally doesn't repeat the same event every year, for variety.)
