Welcome![edit]

Hi, Alcarcalimo2364, welcome to WikiProject LGBT Studies!

We are a growing community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to identifying, categorizing, and improving articles of interest to the LGBT community. Some points that may be helpful:

  • Our main aim is to help improve LGBT-related articles, so if someone asks for help with an article, please try your hardest to help them if you are able.
  • Most important discussions take place on the project's main discussion page; it is highly recommended that you watchlist it.
  • The project has several ongoing and developing activities, such as article quality assessment, peer review and a project-wide article collaboration, all of which you are welcome to take part in. We also have a unique program to improve our lower quality articles, Jumpaclass, so please consider signing up there.
  • If you have another language besides English, please consider adding yourself to our translation section, to help us improve our foreign LGBT topics.
  • If you're planning to stay, have a square in our quilt! You can put anything you want in it.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask on the talk page, and we will be happy to help you.

And once again - Welcome!

Welcome! And some ideas...[edit]

Welcome to the WikiProject!

Regarding your idea for an article about LGBT life in Berlin, there are (of course) a couple articles to take a look at:

And I'm sure many others :) If the project can help in any way, please drop a note on the project's talk page - which you may want to watchlist, just to keep track of what's going on. Happy Editing! -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 21:29, 18 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings. I found your info on the LGBT translator's list. Please look at Hirschfeld Eddy Foundation if you have time. The article is up for deletion but I believe their website, written in German, has press releases or material that helps demonstrate notability. Benjiboi 19:08, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use Image:Bay island.jpg[edit]

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Bay island.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? VegitaU (talk) 20:30, 10 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
