April 2019[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm JackintheBox. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —specifically this edit to United States Park Police— because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help Desk. Thanks. JACKINTHEBOXTALK 10:07, 12 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Hello are you a moderator ? Can you check the edits I have done to the US Park Police page ? I have fix the page adding spiced material from the Official National Park Service web page. And I’ve added more news articles from sourced news articles. I see someone keeps reverting my changes. And this person looks like they had a edit war with another user last year.

3rr warning[edit]

Do not keep on copying and pasting content from the NPS website as you've done here and here See WP:3RR. Thanks. Bangabandhu (talk) 18:54, 12 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Why not it’s properly sourced material ? You seem to love engaging in edit wars with users regarding this page.

Stop 'copypasta'ing on United States Park Police[edit]

See the edit summary of this edit, made by an experienced user who has been on Wikipedia for nearly 12 years and an administrator for 6 years, reverting your edits on that article. Wikipedia is an encyclopædia, not a place where you copy-and-paste entire pages of content from other websites. Furthermore, as you had copy-and-pasted entire web pages on to that Wikipedia article, it is improperly and incorrectly formatted, and goes against Wikipedia's Manual of Style. Besides all this, your copy-and-pasting of entire pages of content makes that article rather hard and uncomfortable to read, with whole bulky paragraphs of black text and no wikilinks.

Regarding my edit war with another user last year that you mentioned above, it was when I reverted an edit by an IP address on 'Unforgettable (French Montana song)', as I unfortunately thought the IP was adding incorrect information. The IP reverted me, then I reverted them again. They then reverted me (note their edit summaries), again, and again. My repeated reversions of the IP's edit was because I previously saw a vandalistic edit from the same IP, so I blindly reverted these edits, thinking they were unconstructive as well. Their hostile edit summaries when they reverted me only encouraged me to revert them then. That was what happened. Since then the IP has been blocked six times, including their current six-month block for vandalism (see their edit filter log). JACKINTHEBOXTALK 14:56, 13 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
