My name is Phil Gomes and I work with the Edelman public relations firm.

Very often I advise companies in terms of best practices for engaging the Wikipedia community and finding common ground in entries. I believe that communities like Wikipedia strongly discourage the use of intermediaries, and I advise companies to respect this. Disintermediation is a strong component of the hacker ethic, after all.

So, no, I'm not a "paid editor." I do, however, help companies find their voices online, both within this community and others.
