I’m Martin Bailey, an employee of Global Graphics Software, and I’ve been involved with the Harlequin RIP for around 3 decades.

My primary focus is on software, workflow and file-format issues around production printing, in pretty much every sector from transactional to décor and textiles, and with an especial emphasis on digital printing.

I’m a UK representative to International Organization for Standardization (ISO) committees TC171 (where I’m primarily involved in the PDF standard) and TC130 (working on PDF/X, PDF/VT and other software issues relating to printing).

In the PDF Association I’m involved with the PDF and PDF/VT technical working groups.

In the past I was chair of CGATS, and CEO of CIP4 (working on the Job Definition Format (JDF)); I am a CIP4 Fellow.

I have also been involved with the International Color Consortium (ICC) and the Ghent Working Group (GWG).
