From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I am a 65 y.o. male that can't relate to what I just typed. Almost anything can grab my interest, with one question leading to another.

The smartphone evolution has been a game changer. Even though I have had PCs forever and touchscreen tablets, with and without keyboards, it still took several steps to login, launch the browser and enter a question.

Now, when a question pops into my head about a movie I'm watching, maybe the actor's history is more important at that moment, I grab my phone and verbally ask my browser my question, all within 2-3 seconds. This is now spontaneous learning - no time delay, no finding the tablet.

More times than not I have a question to ask when watching science or history channels. I'm glad sites are popping up with names like "Ask a physicist" or engineer, or archaeologist, ad infinitum. Regrettably, some of these sites want to charge the inquirer.

And, usually I end up at Wikipedia if I haven't started there! I have contributed in the past and will do so again because I appreciate what you provide. And many thanks to the contributors and the sharing of your knowledge and expertise.
