A feud infobox may be used to summarize information about a particular interpersonal dispute (for example, rap feud, non-sports rivalry) in a standard manner. This template is not designed for political civil conflicts (see {{Infobox civil conflict}}), military conflicts (see {{Infobox military conflict}}) or sports rivalries (see {{Infobox sports rivalry}}).

Usage[edit]

The infobox should be added using the {{Infobox feud}} template, as shown below:

{{Infobox feud

| partof =

All parameters are optional.

  • title – The name of the dispute being described.
  • subtitle – Alternative name of the dispute being described.
  • partofoptional – The larger conflict containing the event described in the article (for example, East Coast–West Coast hip hop rivalry).
  • imageoptional – An image for the infobox, if the dispute can be represented with a single image. The image must be given in the form [[File:Example.jpg|300px|alt=Example alt text]]; in particular, the thumb attribute must not be selected. Ideally, images of each party should be added with the parameters image1, image2, image3 instead.
  • captionoptional – The text to be placed below the image.
  • image1/image2/image3optional – Images of each party, to be shown horizontally.
  • caption1/caption2/caption3optional – The text to be placed below the images of each party.
  • width1/width2/width3optional – The width of the images of each party.
  • dateoptional – The date of the dispute described.
  • causesoptional – Causes for the dispute.
  • mediumoptional – Medium or media used in the dispute, if relevant.
  • statusoptional – For ongoing disputes.
  • side1/side2/side3optional – The parties participating in the dispute. When there is a large number of participants, it may be better to list only the people at the core of the dispute. The side3 field may be used if a dispute has three distinct "sides", and should be left blank on other articles.
    • side1a/side2a/side3aoptional – In cases where the parties significantly changed over the course of the dispute, these subsidiary fields may be used to provide additional rows for the sideN fields (above).
    • side1b/side2b/side3boptional – additional row, as above.
    • side1c/side2c/side3coptional – additional row, as above.
    • side1d/side2d/side3doptional – additional row, as above.
  • claims1/claims2/claims3optional – The claims made by the parties participating in the dispute.
  • works1/works2/works3optional – The works involved in the dispute. Only include works directly part of the feud, not previous works referenced as part of it.
  • casualties1/casualties2optional – Casualties suffered, explicitly listed if possible, including dead, wounded, missing, and arrested.
  • casualties3optional – If side3 is set, this is a third casualty field identical to the two above; if it is not set, this is an alternate combined field for use where casualties cannot be directly attributed to either side.
  • notesoptional – optional field for further notes; this should only be used in exceptional circumstances.
