- Comment: I have two options for the photograph. I can use the photograph with the hook as is OR I can provide the second photograph on the bottom right of the deportations with the hook being amended to...and concluded that the deportation of Armenians (pictured) was part of an extermination program...PLEASE let me know which one would you guys think would be better. interesting rticle on good sources, using quotations almost a bit too much. I would try to get one of the to the hook, for example
- ALT1: ... that missionary Henry H. Riggs watched the Armenian Genocide ("deportation" pictured): "The abuses and murder of ordinary Armenians during these "deportations" were too persistent to be dismissed as simple aberrations"?
- ALT2: ... that Henry H. Riggs provided an eyewitness account of the Armenian Genocide and concluded that the deportation of Armenians (pictured) was part of an extermination program organized by the Ottoman government?
- ALT1: ... that missionary Henry H. Riggs watched the Armenian Genocide ("deportation" pictured): "The abuses and murder of ordinary Armenians during these "deportations" were too persistent to be dismissed as simple aberrations"?
- Gerda Arendt (talk · contribs), thank you for providing the ALT1. I think I'm going to stick with the ALT2 I just provided. In my opinion it sounds more catchy and the photograph is great. Proudbolsahye (talk) 18:12, 21 July 2013 (UTC)
- I don't see why you think "Genocid" is more catchy than "Abuses and murder".
ALT2, offline sources accepted AGF. You don't need references in the lead for facts referenced in the article, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:07, 21 July 2013 (UTC)
