I've returned to previous version.

1. There is no confirms for killed IDF soldier. I know from the participant that there were no killed soldiers at all. 2. Hizbollah claimed that cassualities are civilians, however all of them killed in fight. 3. It is absolutely clear that the operation was successfull, but I remain the results as it now. Yes, the Battlebox is citing information Provided by the IDF, not Independent sources.

To make the things worse Hezbollah casualties are from IDF claims not from the same Hezbollah. This is really bad try to look at the internet or some reliable newspaper for information regarding the casualties.

The WIKIPEDIA is being used by some people to change numbers and facts for the benefit of some countries, and many adminis allow it, what a pity.

Shmuliko, am not sure what you meant by I know from the participant that there were no killed soldiers at all but if you mean that you are relying in your sources on IDF soldiers please keep in mind that while withdrawing from south lebanon after litani offensive, many participants were asking if they managed to free the 2 captured Israeli soldiers, so i don't think the soldiers remarks are to be considered as evidence since they were the least informed.

I agree. The timeline provided is entirely irrelevant to the topic of the article, which is a specific raid at a specific night. It is also poorly structured and provides incorrect information about an attack that never happenned August 11. I thus remove the irrelevant sections. ליאור (talk) 21:43, 19 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism?[edit]

"AndresHerutJaim" reverted ALL my corrections and additions to this article, about an hour after I made them. The only explanation he gave was: "Israeli team destroyed the Hezbollah rocket launcher that attacked Hedera the previous day". Which is a bit confusing, to say the least. None of the Israeli sources mentions the destruction of a rocket launcher. But neither did AndresHerutJaim's version of the article.

The previous version of the article had some serious problems which I had addressed. Two of three links were dead. The main body of the text was actually based on a different source (Yediot), to which I have added a link. The article contained some apparent factual errors. The number of wounded Israeli soldiers (according to IDF) were 8 or 10, and not 2 as stated. The article claimed that 27 Hezbollah fighters were killed, without supplying a source. The figure is simply ridiculous since not even IDF was making such a claim.

IDF estimates vary from 6 or 7 to 10. Yediot wrote that the three Hezbollah members in the apartment (the apparent target of the raid) were "hit by our forces, who suffered bullet and shrapnel wounds" (also citing eyewitnesses claiming that they were wounded) while Amos Harel of Haaretz wrote that they were "killed". In 2010 Harel however backtracked: "the operation did not end in the death of the senior Hezbollah figure who was its target".

Journalist Nicholas Blanford, who was in Tyre that day, writes that "at least one" Hezbollah fighter was killed in the clashes. I think this is the most reliable source on this subject. Hezbollah did not comment on its own casualties but claimed that one IDF soldier died (not included in article).
