Dr. Sonn never criticizes Malik Asad in "A Brief History..." nor does she, through that non-existent criticism, encourage violence towards women. Malik Asad isn't even mentioned in "A Brief History..." Please check your sources before posting blatant lies. 128.239.47.174 04:35, 11 October 2007 (UTC)Mastapd[reply]

My apologies, I meant Malik Anas. "A Brief History..." is only 190 some odd pages long. I fail to see how your citation of a page in the 500's fits. I hope you can remedy this, otherwise I'm going to have to seek arbitration on the matter. (edit: Malik ibn Anas is only found on pgs 37, 40 and 41, none of which offer any criticism of either of his ahadith, Al-Muwata and Al-Mudawana ) Best regards 68.13.200.71 15:18, 11 October 2007 (UTC)mastapd[reply]

Perspicacite Please, I am asking you to fix your citation, or somehow provide a valid source for your claims regarding Dr. Sonn's work. If not, a C&D through official channels within Wikipedia (mediation and arbitration) will be sought.Mastapd 20:19, 13 October 2007 (UTC)mastapd[reply]

The full book is available for viewing on Google. The book is just under 200 pages, so the page number is wrong. Malik Ibn Anas is, I think, mentioned only once in the book (on page 37), and not as an attack. So the book does not appear to be an attack on a Anas, so I'll remove that. I'm not an expert, but it appears to me to discuss Islamic law, society and reform in general terms. --h2g2bob (talk) 23:13, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Mastapd - please remember to assume good faith about other editors. Wikipedia uses discussion as the first step in dispute resolution, and as a part of all subsequent steps. It is therefore vital to treat other editors' positions respectfully. --h2g2bob (talk) 23:39, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mastapd is a vandal who has used multiple sockpuppets. The content is fine, do not remove sourced material. I would appreciate a source for all content you add. Perspicacite 04:59, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I had been assuming good faith, trying to use discussion, initially, but Perspicacite has continually refused correct the apparent errors. I am not a vandal, and have never used sockpuppets. I began work on reforming this bio after an interview with Doctor Sonn, regarding work I am doing on a comparison of the decline of Islam and the decline of American Civilization. Thank you h2g2bob for helping. 24.9.122.252 16:49, 14 October 2007 (UTC) mastapd[reply]

Perspicacite, I acknowledge there have been a lot of single purpose accounts editing this page, which may or may not be sockpuppets. However, mastapd has a valid point. Do you have any answer on the book source issue? The Google Books link shows only 200 pages - can you double-check that you have the right book.
Also, I thought that putting the bibliography in bullet form would not be controversial - what's your view on that? --h2g2bob (talk) 22:09, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Upon further reflection I really dont care how bad this page gets. Do what you want. Perspicacite 23:52, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
