Question about the precedence of consorts of Infantes/Infantas[edit]

The Dowager Duchess of Calabria and the Duke of Hernani and Soria are respectively the widow of an Infante of Spain and the husband of an Infanta of Spain, but they are not an Infanta or an Infante themselves. The Royal Decree 2099/1983 does not explicitly assign any official precedence to consorts of Infantes/Infantas, but rather only to Infantes/Infantas properly. Why did the Wikipedia editors include the Duke of Hernani and the Dowager Duchess of Calabria in the Spanish order of precedence then? 189.68.34.112 (talk) 19:10, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
