Assessment of Evagrius[edit]

"Evagrius is mostly negative in his account of Justin and Sophia, so should not be taken as an impartial source."

This line from the article is terrible. Because a historical source has a negative view of a particular person, does that automatically make them not impartial? Does the negativity of their view impact the truth value of their record as opposed to others who might have written with glowing praise of Justin and Sophia? That is absurd and indefensible. Yet it is Wikipedia; this sort of comment appears in many articles.
