I updated verb tenses and such to reflect that fact that we're now past noon PDT on Oct 17, but the final paragraph of the section on Hamby v. Parnell could still use some cleanup, in my opinion. It seems awkwardly worded in places, and I'm not familiar enough with the details of what happened to really do much more cleanup myself. Xtifrtälk 20:39, 17 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Never mind. After reading the whole section more carefully, I was able to eliminate some redundant and out-of-order mention of various court requests and orders. It's still not clear to me whether the Ninth district's rejection of "the state's request for a stay" refers to the original request by Idaho or a separate request by Alaska, but I simply left that part no more/no less ambiguous than I found it. Feel free to reword that if you know what was actually going on. Xtifrtälk 18:08, 18 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
