Where was he born[edit]

This article when I found it Madd the ludicrous claim that Moore was born in Newton, Illinois. Newton, Illinois was founded in 1835. I have studied Illinois in the era of the American revolution, when I was a grad student at Eastern Michigan University I had a class on the American Revolutionary Era where I did an indepth study of Illinois in that area. Moore was almost certainly not born there. If he was it would have been in Vincennes or Cahokia. Or with a Potawotomi or Fox mother. I suspect he was born in Newtown, New York like his uncle. That makes more sense than being born in a place founded 53 years later.John Pack Lambert (talk) 04:02, 8 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
