I have found that the name of the river is Mayar. You can find the reference here in the below book, "The Indian Forester, A monthly magazine of Forestry, Agriculture, Shikar & Travel Edited by J.W. Oliver. 1902". Page Number: 136

https://books.google.com/books?id=bWcmAQAAMAAJ&pg=PA136&lpg=PA136&dq=mayar+nilgiris&source=bl&ots=hwIjQ3fJHF&sig=ACfU3U0ECn0pS_fs7L0mg7eF90RxOK3-sA&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwj16MDb3YXkAhVMqZ4KHco5CVMQ6AEwCHoECAgQAQ#v=onepage&q=136&f=false

Another reference for this river name as Mayar from "The Nilgiris Game and Fish Preservation Act, 1879. Act 2 of 1879" Page Number: 5

Also the original name of the river is Mayar in Tamil. It is translated by mistake as moyar instead mayar.

So i am updating the name of this river as Mayar. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Elangovan Santhanam (talkcontribs) 00:21, 16 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
