The following films Romeo + Juliet, Shutter Island, and The Great Gatsby are huge commercial and popular hits, moreover fan favorites, among the general public.

If even What's Eating Gilbert Grape is counted here, i don't see why these three films, or at least one of them, shouldn't be put in this list immediately.

Since both Shutter Island and The Great Gatsby were critical and commercial successes, moreover they have become fan favorites among the general public, i don't see why they shouldn't be mentioned in the lede, and especially in the part of the lede dedicated to his work in the 2010s. 95.246.190.213 (talk) 15:03, 26 December 2019 (UTC)

Partner field in the infobox

Regarding this and this, do the people added there belong there? I've seen people removed from the field times before because Template:Infobox person states "if particularly relevant, or if the partner is notable; 'partner' here means unmarried life partners." Going by the Domestic partner article, it depends on what is meant by "life partner." Editors have argued that being one's boyfriend or girlfriend is not the same as being a domestic partner. Flyer22 Frozen (talk) 01:04, 3 March 2020 (UTC)

The media regards these as his two most significant relationships—even in documentaries. ⌚️ (talk) 16:31, 3 March 2020 (UTC)
The issue here is how the field is used on Wikipedia and the meaning of "domestic partner" or "life partner."

Camila Morrone

What are your thoughts on adding Morrone to partners section in in infobox? I think it should be done as they have already been together for more than three years and if you've dated someone for more than a year they are definitely your partner. All the sources also report that their relationship is extremely serious. Gisele bunchen is in the infobox who he only dated for 5 years which is not much longer than 3. Thank you Hannahxo (talk) 11:52, 16 June 2021 (UTC)

I'm a huge leo fan and i love this article so i read the edit summaries and i don't think it really matters whether or not leo breaks up with her when she turns 25 because they are definitely in a relationship right now and it's definitely not a fling like the other girls. 3 and a half years is a long time unlike the other girls who he barely dated for a year or a few months. She even gave an interview where she talks about their relationship and age difference. She is 100% one of his partners. 117.254.37.17 (talk) 14:50, 16 June 2021 (UTC)

Thank you. I didn't actually think abou that. Whether or not he dumps her at 25 shouldn't matter. Hannahxo (talk) 16:16, 16 June 2021 (UTC)

If you want to rewrite the rules of Wikipedia by all means go to the Manual of Style talk page and present your case but until then, a relationship over 1 year is not automatic inclusion in the partner parameter. If that were the case, Toni Garrn and Nina Agdal would be there too. In fact, when he dated Agdal that's when we decided to stop including just any and everybody in his personal life section because we have to keep a line and a lot of people were removed. We all know it's a major draw to his article. Even for a respectable magazine such as Harper's Bazaar, the onus on how they perceive "seriousness" is on gossip and anonymous sources. People eat it up whenever this man's relationship history is mapped out. When you watch an official documentary about Leonardo DiCaprio, Gisele Bündchen is covered a his most significant relationship (being 5 years long is not what determined that) because of her own fame. Media even asked her father, a private citizen, about what their relationship was like over a decade after they broke up. She addressed it in her memoir. So it was that serious. Bar Refaeli wasn't famous until her relationship with DiCaprio and under penalty of perjury she stated in court they were a family unit in America. Fair enough. But we have to use discretion for a high profile BLP article like this. It won't hurt to wait to see where it goes. Her perspective on it can be suitable for her article. Ending Contract 04-29-2022

Friday, April 29, 2022. Last day of the marketing contract between Leonardo DiCaprio and Camila Morrone. Proof: Nowhere in the Google knowledge panel of Leonardo DiCaprio it's mentioned the name of Camila Morrone as a life partner. It takes proof of passport or driver's licence from the artist himself to maintain that knowledge panel true information. The name of Camila Morrone is mentioned nowhere on his professional website. Miss Camila Morrone worked during all holidays to photoshop false pictures of Leonardo DiCaprio "on the beach with her." She also paid false articles to start rumours that she's pregnant for more than two years. Please, stop deleting the information about Cyndia Saint-Cyr Montès, the fiancée of Leonardo Wilhelm DiCaprio. 137.175.229.48 (talk) 07:16, 8 January 2022 (UTC)

Leonardo DiCaprio doesn't only date women under 25

In the "Personal life" part, in paragraph 1, in lines 1 and 2 it says "but he has been the focus of various references detailing his involvement with women aged 25 or younger, for which he has faced criticism", that part must be removed or it must be clarified that the 25-year-old thing is a lie told by the press, a lie told intentionally since Leonardo DiCaprio has had many partners over 25 years of age, I could put thousands and thousands of references but only I'll put this one from when Rihanna was Leonardo DiCaprio's girlfriend, when they were dating Rihanna was over 25 years old

Lead changes

@Vraxxthelord, regarding your modifications to the lead section, merely reorganizing content does not constitute "grammatical fixes". The lead paragraph should avoid excessive information and instead provide a concise introduction to the subject, which it currently does. References to his inclusion in specific publications' lists are arguably extraneous in this context. Films like Shutter Island and The Great Gatsby' received mixed reviews so they do not warrant mentions within the lead. We should establish a limit on the number of films to be mentioned in a single sentence; with your changes, it includes eight, which may be excessive. It's also crucial to reference WP:ROLEBIO regarding the inclusion of "philanthropist" as his profession in the lead.

Note that the article has recently attained the status of a featured article, signifying approval through community consensus. Therefore, it is essential to provide robust reasoning as to why your changes improve the lead. FrB.TG (talk) 10:57, 16 September 2023 (UTC)

Explanation: As currently written this page inaccurately claims that Leo DiCaprio received a $40 million "salary" for Titanic. He actually received something in the neighborhood of $2.5 million in salary (https://parade.com/celebrities/leonardo-dicaprio-net-worth), with additional funds he later received being for profit participation. While the movie did cost north of $200 million, it was not because DiCaprio received $40 million as claimed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Perspectively (talkcontribs) 06:11, 7 January 2024 (UTC)
