Gurjon tree or not?[edit]

I am not a plant taxonomy expert, but something isn't right here. Gurjan trees belong to the botanical family of Dipterocarpus which has about 70 different species, the most significant being Dipterocarpus turbinatus. I do not see any connection to Lannea coromandelica.

https://www.flowersofindia.net/catalog/slides/Indian%20Ash%20Tree.html offer 'Mohin' (Hindi) as a local alternative name, along with 'Jinginee' (Sanskrit), which ties in with the Nepalese 'Jhingat' already mentioned in the Wikipedia article.

This well-written (but less approved) source also confirms these details https://manishjaishree.com/indian-ash-tree/

I trust this explains my edits satisfactorily. WendlingCrusader (talk) 10:53, 11 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
