Regarding "standalone" works[edit]

Regarding "standalone" works, at least one other source states:

  • Where the Snow was Red features series character Dr. John Smith;
  • The Obituary Club and The Lonely Target feature series character Grant Simon;
  • Odds on the Hot Seat and The Fourteenth Trump feature series character Danny Coyle, a gambler;
  • Death Delivers a Postcard and another work not mentioned in the article, The Death Syndicate (1938), writing as Judson Philips, both feature series character Carole Trevor, a private investigator.
