Notability and confusion with John Thomas (sculptor)[edit]

Rather than going for deletion,if by human hand, can anyone tell me how to stop the page for the English sculptor John Thomas (sculptor) being merged with everything on this WELSH sculptor.

  • The problem of confusion with John Thomas (sculptor) has now been sorted out in this article, although it continues on e.g. German Wikipedia and elsewhere online. Notability has been added to the article, and plagiaristic content has been removed.--Storye book (talk) 10:46, 10 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You have done a FANTATSTIC job. (Victorian Aesthete (talk) 11:21, 10 March 2010 (UTC)).[reply]

Title[edit]

This title is very non-standard. It's unfortunate that both John Thomases are sculptors. Perhaps John Evan Thomas (Welsh sculptor) would bring this article more in line with naming conventions. --Danger (talk) 18:43, 21 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I would be happy with that, but would prefer to wait for the agreement or comment of User:Victorianaesthete, who created the article, if that's OK with you?--Storye book (talk) 22:35, 21 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I thik that would be a good solution, though I have no idea how to achieve it technically(Victorian Aesthete (talk) 07:12, 23 March 2010 (UTC)).[reply]
Done. All mainspace links to the article have been changed to direct links where possible.--Storye book (talk) 12:59, 23 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Grave Photo[edit]

I was trying to place it next to the section regarding his death... arguably that should move to the bottom but most articles list works after Life section. I was pleased to find the grave at least.. no-one seems to have ever spotted it before.--Stephencdickson (talk) 20:10, 9 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, an amazing find. Quite a bit of detective work there! I agree that his death should be towards the bottom of the article and the image also. There's a slight risk, wherever you put it, that it might be mistaken for one of his sculptures. I'd also be tempted to swap the lead photo for a stronger one.
