How is the crash of JAL Flight 123 relevant here?[edit]

Under the heading "Access" is, rather inexplicably, this: "Airway
On August 12, 1985, Flight JAL 123, while crossing peninsular airspace, experienced an explosion in the aft pressure bulkhead, resulting in an accident that killed 520 people, becoming one of the deadliest air disasters in human history."
First, what does any air disaster have to do with "access"? And second, what does a crash that happened 100km north of the Izu Peninsula have to do with it? I can think of no other example of an air disaster being cited as having been partially precipitated while crossing an area's airspace when the crash itself happened at a distance from it. It is no more relevant than to cite this disaster in the article on Itami Airport in Osaka, where the tailstrike incident took place that eventually led to the crash of Flight 123 (where it is not mentioned, than to cite it here. I respectfully suggest that this mention be omitted. Bricology (talk) 19:59, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
