Untitled[edit]

Is this statement (second paragraph) indeed correct, or has someone changed it? "Elevator surfing is legal in most locations and not very dangerous." It doesn't seem quite in line with the rest of the paragraph: "Several people have died elevator surfing.[1] Surfers can be crushed between the elevator and the top, sides, or bottom of the shaft, be struck by the counterweight, or simply slip or be knocked off and fall to their deaths." 128.39.140.252 16:27, 4 December 2007 (UTC) anon.[reply]

This page should be deleted[edit]

All it does is highlight some news events and not much else. I'll tag it sometime 70.92.132.205 (talk) 04:13, 26 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Recommended?[edit]

I feel the following sentence should be removed from this page:

"It is highly recommended for a prospective surfer to research whether the top of the elevator shaft has headroom or not."

This statement seems to approve of the practice of elevator surfing, when in fact it is a potentially lethal practice. The page should have a neutral tone and avoid justification of such dangerous activities. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Uniquewikiuser99 (talkcontribs) 04:11, 15 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
