Moser[edit]
"...the Cortinarius subgenus Cortinarius by Moser..." Who is Moser? Almost everyone should be identified by full name on first appearance. Does Moser have an article at Wikipedia?--Wetman (talk) 21:27, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
- Thought this may come up! I had a look around online, but couldn't find anything. I will check the book I sourced the info from- maybe it expands on him on another page. J Milburn (talk) 21:31, 8 March 2009 (UTC)

- Hi, a while since I GA reviewed a mushroom, so here goes.. FunkMonk (talk) 19:35, 26 June 2016 (UTC)
- Not sure if this is within "the Pope is Catholic" territory, but I doubt Linnaeus is labelled the "father of taxonomy" in his own work, which is the only one cited after the sentence?
- "However, Kuntze's revisionary programme was not accepted by the majority of botanists." Mycologists?
- You mention the authors and dates of all revisions except for the ones based on genetics, any reason?
- "or rarely an ixocutis a layer of gelatinized hyphae" Comma needed?
- "Fruit bodies of spp. hercynicus" Why not just say C. v. hercynicus? I doubt most readers know what spp. means...
- Since the other subspecies does not seem to be recognised today (or am I missing something), is it appropriate to refer to it as such?
- "Cortinarius violaceus forms mycorrhizal associations several species of tree." With?
- "generally in more alkaline soils and long with mosses" What is meant by long? Along?
- "Its similarity to some other (inedible or toxic) webcaps" Like which?
- there are over 3000 species and much confusion - there are a bunch of species with some purple that you wouldn't eat (Cortinarius traganus being one). I need a source that directly compares it with some other species. Will double check. Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 08:35, 1 July 2016 (UTC)
- "It is an iron(III)" Space needed?
- "Cortinarius violaceus extract demonstrated an inhibitory" Why past tense when the former sentences are present?
- "has a subtle taste" Only stated as such in the intro.
Apologies for being mostly absent in this review; I'm pretty swamped at the moment... Josh Milburn (talk) 10:06, 1 July 2016 (UTC)
