Very unclear statement[edit]

"...its [Turkish] garrison was often understaffed and defended by the Russian army in 1737 and 1771."

The Turkish garrison, or even fortress, defended by the Russian army?!

Either typo (defeated, not defended);
or defended as an ally (unlikely);
or defended after being taken over/conquered by Russia, but then it must be said so!

Very confusing. For 1771 I guess it has to do with the 1768–1774 Russo-Turkish War, so I added the link, hope it fits, but can't be sure. Arminden (talk) 16:12, 6 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
