Pronoun corrections[edit]

Because Stenberg uses both she/her and they/them, change she to they or her to them in appropriate places or some of the time. Devonian extinction (talk) 03:06, 14 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Isn’t the current standard that there should be a footnote next to the first instance of a pronoun? I’m not seeing that in the intro block when “she” is first used. —AsterRoc (talk) 03:19, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Bad grammar[edit]

All of the third person pronouns are third person plural (they, them, their) when they should be third person single (she, her). I don't care that Amanda Stenberg thinks of herself as royalty and therefore worthy of the plural pronouns as if she were a queen.

A site as influential as Wikipedia, especially with younger users, should not propagate the use of bad grammar. 174.108.185.146 (talk) 18:02, 1 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Adding isiNdebele if possible.

Amandla's name means strength in the Southern African languages of isiNdebele, isiXhosa, and isiZulu. 156.155.131.66 (talk) 19:36, 26 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sexuality[edit]

She's most recently described herself as "gay" from what I can see in the citations. Wouldn't that supersede the references to being either bisexual or pansexual? I think that sentence could be eliminated and allow the last sentence in the paragraph to more accurately describe her sexuality per her own words. 173.66.183.213 (talk) 00:53, 9 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Her First Name "Amandla" Meaning[edit]

The name Amandla isn't exclusive to Isizulu and Xhosa languages, but to all Nguni languages. The Nguni group consists of IsiZulu, iSiXhosa, IsiSwati and IsiNdebele. 41.13.66.221 (talk) 18:59, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
