merge?[edit]

The Finnish Wikipedia covers Aarnivalkea and Will-o'-the-wisp in the same article, fi:Virvatuli (valoilmiö). Should we do likewise? --Delirium (talk) 00:04, 6 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Not really, it is a redirect, but not covered in depth, and infact the mythology is really covered in fi:Aarnihauta the article on the secret treasure, rather than the marker, which is the light phenomenon. Different languages lumping content differently into articles is a problem. There really ought to be a proper article on Aarnivalkea on the finnish wikipedia, IMO, considering that it is properly a separate only occasionally mythically connected phenomenon with the treasure sites. That is to say there are Aarnivalkea without the treasure perhaps, although usually they come with the treasure. According to myth that is. But I won't object to a merge, or starting an article Aarnihauta which might cover the treasure sites. Some might argue that the eternal flame is less notable than the treasure it guards. -- Cimon Avaro; on a pogostick. (talk) 04:39, 22 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
