Unititled[edit]

How long were the three men in Canada? Were they citizens? Listing their hometowns as major Canadian cities gave me that impression (rightly? wrongly?) and seemed surprising. Sherurcij ^{(speaker for the dead)} 13:39, 19 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I copied that info just the way it was. Looks like they were naturalized Canadians, born in Syria. So far I've found only this article which calls them "locals": The Globe and Mail (Canada)

Shock and pride dominated conversations in Montreal's close-knit Armenian community yesterday as two local men were charged with murdering a security guard in Tuesday's assault on the Turkish Embassy in Ottawa. 'We are surprised but proud,' said a beaming Kezork Koussaogli, surrounded by nodding fellow Armenians from the garage where both of the accused men once worked.
Ohannes Noubarian, 30, of north-end Montreal, and Kevork Marachelian, 35, of suburban LaSalle, were arraigned in Ottawa court yesterday on charges of first-degree murder in the death of security guard Claude Brunelle, 31.
