Patrona Halil[edit]

There are at least 3 other sources I'm aware of which attribute Patrona Halil's employment to the Bayezid II Hamam (further up the same street), rather than the Çemberlitas Hamam. Have a look at the history section there and check out the inline citations there (Archnet is online; one of the museum's web pages (in Turkish) is online too; Dogan Kuban's book, which is probably the most respectable source, might unfortunately not be available on Google Books preview (a preview of it might be available on Amazon though) but I can confirm it explicitly states that connection; and an article on the Cemberlitas Hamam by Nina Cichocki "Continuity and Change in Turkish Bathing Culture in Istanbul: The Life Story of the Çemberlitas Hamam", Turkish Studies, Vol 6, 2005 also attributes the connection to the Bayezid Hamam in a footnote). Could someone verify if the currently cited source in this section does clearly state the connection to the Çemberlitas Hamam specifically? Unfortunately I don't have access to the cited reference there, so I can't verify what it says or if there's any other details that could help to reconcile between the contradicting sources. I've placed an inline "Verification needed" tag at the relevant line for the moment. Thanks! R Prazeres (talk) 21:17, 13 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Resolved: I finally got a hold of the cited reference in that section (Nina Ergin, "Bathing Business in Istanbul: A Case Study of the Cemberlitas Hamami in the Seventeenth and Eighteenth Centuries") and it clearly states Patrona Halil worked at the Bayezit Hamam, so this is simply a mistake. I am revising the page accordingly. R Prazeres (talk) 01:55, 22 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Bhopal Hamam[edit]

Says here that Çemberlitaş inspired a hamam in Bhopal but wonder if that's actually true or whether it was inspired more generally by idea of Turkish baths. May be true but didn't ring entirely convincingly to me. Ealinggirl1954 (talk) 20:26, 31 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
