A member of the Republican Party, Weinroth has previously served as a councilman for Boca Raton and as a Palm Beach County Commissioner, where he also served a term as Mayor.

Robert Weinroth was born in New York, New York. He attended Northeastern University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in 1975, followed by a J.D. from the New England School of Law in 1978.
