Draft:Kuebix

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kuebix is a software-as-a-service company founded in 2008 by Dan Clark in Maynard, Massachusetts. Kuebix created one of the largest connected supply chain platforms in North America by connecting a network of more than 21,000 shippers with a multitude of carriers and asset providers representing 1.3 million trucks and covering a wide range of transportation modes[1]. However, Kuebix main platform focus was on the domestic modes of LTL and truckload. At the height of it's growth, Kuebix has 170 employees and was acquired by Trimble in January of 2020[2] for more than $200 million.

Trimble's Transportation division that held Kuebix also included other large industry standard technologies like, Trimble Maps (acquisition of PC Miler), and the carrier transportation management system TMW, among others.

In November of 2023, Kuebix was purchased by FreightWise[3] a large transportation technology company based in Brentwood, TN (Nashville suburban community). Chris Cochran, the CEO and co-founder of FreightWise led the transaction and was citied in interviews stating this combination of FreightWise and Kuebix creates one of the largest transportation management platforms in the country[4]. FreightWise has been cited as one of the fastest growing companies in transportation technology, as it was listed as the second fastest growing private company in America in 2019 by Inc Magazine[5] and is a 5 time consecutive member of the Inc 5000 list. Furthermore, it was a three time winner of the Nashville Business Journal Fast 50, a listing of the fastest growing companies in the metro area of Nashville.
