Tragic Murder[edit]
On June 29, 2017, Makeva Jenkins was tragically murdered in her home. A masked gunman broke into the house and fatally shot her while she slept. Initial investigations suggested a robbery, but soon, deeper motives were uncovered. Authorities discovered that Euri Jenkins had significant financial troubles and stood to gain from a $500,000 life insurance policy on Makeva.[2][3]
Investigation and Trial[edit]
The investigation revealed that Euri Jenkins had hired Joevan Joseph to kill Makeva. Dametri Dale, a friend of Euri’s, was also implicated in the conspiracy. Dale cooperated with the police, providing critical evidence that led to the conviction of Euri Jenkins for first-degree murder. Euri was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole in May 2022. Joevan Joseph received a 15-year sentence for his role in the murder.[2][1][3]
