James Trueman is a former English rugby union footballer from Solihull. His primary position is Wing or Centre.

International career[edit]

Trueman represented England Rugby at U16-U18 level playing on the Wing.[1] At the 2008 International Rugby Festival held at Millfield School, he started all of England's games alongside teammates including Ryan Mills, Charlie Clare and Guy Armitage.[2]

Club career[edit]

In 2008, Trueman was signed by Leicester Tigers, the Premiership Champions at the time, from the Worcester Warriors Academy. Trueman played for the Tigers Academy[3] between 2008-2010 alongside future England stars such as Manu Tuilagi and George Ford.

In 2010, Trueman began studying at the University of Bristol as part of its High Performance Squad for students that are playing elite level sport.[4] During this time he trained with Bristol Rugby and England Sevens but multiple injuries led to the end of his professional career ambitions.

Other sporting achievements[edit]

Prior to focusing on rugby, Trueman played football for the Walsall F.C. Academy and cricket for Warwickshire County Cricket Academy.[5]
