Anatoliy Nikolaevitch Gankevitch (born August 24, 1965, Odesa).

Biography[edit]

Gankevitch began his career in 1990. He collaborated with the gallery "Marat Gelman Gallery" from 1995 to 2005.

He was actively engaged in making advertisements. He took art classes at the National Center for Contemporary Arts in Moscow and began his career directing commercials and television shows between 1995 and 2005.[1]

Since 2006, he has focused on his own artistic projects. He has lived and worked in Belgium since 2022.

Gankevitch is known for his painting style, which imitates mosaics.

One of the leading exponents of contemporary art in Ukraine [2], his artistic practice draws on a wide range of media, including painting, sculpture, video, installation and performance.
