Description

St John's Roman Catholic Church (left; <a href="https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101039749-st-johns-roman-catholic-church-northampton" rel="noreferrer nofollow">Grade I</a>) and St John's Hall (right; <a href="https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101039750-st-johns-hall-northampton" rel="noreferrer nofollow">Grade I</a>), Northampton. The church is the former chapel of the medieval Hospital of Saint John, founded circa 1138 and is mainly dating to the 15th and 16th centuries. The hall is the former infirmary of the Hospital of Saint John, which became an almshouse from the Reformation to 1870; the north wall (facing the centre of the photo) dates to the 15th and 16th centuries and the west wall (facing the right of the photo) is early 14th century.

GOC East Midlands' walk on 18 February 2018. This was a 4.8-mile circular walk entirely within the town of Northampton in Northamptonshire. Fred F led the walk, which was attended by 12 people.
