Deutsch: Seit dem Jahr 2009 sind die drei vormaligen Gemeinden Obergesteln, Oberwald und Ulrichen unter dem neuen Namen Obergoms vereinigt. Das an der Gemeindeversammlung angenommene Wappen zeigt das damals aktuelle Logo von Obergoms mit der charakteristischen Bergkette.
Français : En 2009, les trois anciennes communes d'Obergesteln, Oberwald et Ulrichen ont fusionné sous le nouveau nom d'Obergoms. Les armoiries adoptées lors de l'assemblée communale reprennent le logo d'Obergoms, alors en vigueur, avec la chaîne de montagnes caractéristique.
